When to use:
To show a document or PowerPoint presentation in a meeting
Allow a colleague help you with a computer issue in a chat
To work collaboratively on a file while talking it through
Screen sharing in Teams:
When you are in an audio or video call, click on this to show screen sharing options.
Or if you are in a chat, you can click on the same icon on the top right .
Select the screen or app you would like to share. Choosing a “Desktop” screen would allow others to see everything you do on your computer. Choosing a “Window” app would allow others to see only what you do in that app’s window.
Also, you can optionally “Include system audio” by checking the box. When you do that, any sound your computer plays will play on others’ computers, useful for sharing videos or other multimedia.
That’s it! Your screen or window should be outlined with red to indicate it is being shared. Be aware of what you are sharing with others as it may contain sensitive information. When you’re done sharing, click on the screen share button with the X to close.
