Using a Virtual Background in Microsoft Teams

When to use:

To have privacy during video meetings.

Blur out any distractions that are occurring behind you.

Virtual Background Setting:

Note: This setting can be found only when you are in a video call.

When you are in a video call, click on the three dots  to reveal all the options. Then click on “Show background effects.”

Click on the effect you feel appropriate for the meeting. There is a simple blur option (upper rightmost).

Click on “Preview”, if you need to, and then “Apply” to use the effect.
