When to use: If you need to make a call to one or more staff members, whether just by audio or video and audio, you can do so easily with Teams.
When not to use: If you require more formal host controls like being able to mute others, inviting people outside of UMass, or when others are not using Teams. Zoom is better suited for those cases.
Get Started:
In Teams, make sure you are in the Chat tab on the left:
Click on the New Chat icon on the top:
Type in the names of the people whom you want to chat with (can also include groups/teams you are a member of):
Press enter.
Click on the video icon for video conferencing, audio for audio only, and screen share to share your screen. (These can be changed while in the call, best if done outside of remote desktop):
